WALT write to express ideas.

This is a little poem called a Haiku. Room one is doing work around Peace Week, and we had to express what makes us feel peaceful.

  1. Kia Ora Poppy-Blu, What a cool poem! It definitely expresses your ideas, and I can imagine you with a huge smile on your face. I wonder what your happy thoughts are. The gentle sound of tui makes me remember walking through the bush listening to a tui. Thank you for sharing your poem.

  3. Kia ora Poppy-Blu. What a lovely peaceful poem. I like that you used the tui as its call is such a beautiful sound to hear in Aotearoa. It is lovely to know that you are learning and thinking about peace as it is something the world needs more of. Congratulations on starting your blog.

  4. A wonderful haiku, Poppy. You have shown how lucky we are in Aotearoa. Being able to hear such sweet sounds certainly makes us feel peaceful. I am watchful around my house because the tui are due as spring approaches.

  6. Hi Poppy, what a wonderful haiku to represent Peace week. I also love the sound of the Tui and we are so lucky to be able to hear them here on the West Coast. I really like how you have expressed so much feeling with so little words but huge expression. From Aedan's Mum.
